Day-to-Day

Upon arrival, you will be met by your tour guide, who will then transfer you to Lake Height Hotel or Lake Victoria or Palm Beach Hotel, a stone throw from Entebbe international airport for relaxation and your overnight stay.

Day 01: Kampala- Kibale National Park (Fort Portal)

On this day, after enjoying a good breakfast we will embark on a 4-5hr drive to Kibale National Park with several stops along the way before reaching Fort Portal town and the Park. We will arrive in the afternoon and check in for our lunch at Travellers inn or Mountains of the Moon hotel. We will then visit the mysterious caves at ‘Amabere ga nyina mwiru’, climb the local hills and view the crater lakes before checking in for relaxation, dinner and our overnight stay at Kibale Forest Camp or Ndali lodge.

Day 02: Chimpanzee Tracking and Conservation Experience – Kibale National Park

We will have our breakfast at the camp/lodge and go for a chimpanzee tracking and conservation experience at Kanyanchu visitors centre in Kibale National Park where we will also be able to see abundant other wildlife including baboons, red tailed Colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, various bird species, butterflies and many more. We will return for lunch then head to a cultural site called Bigodi for a guided nature walk, birds and other wildlife viewing before returning to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and our overnight stay.

Day 03: Chimpanzee Habituation and Conservation Experience – Kibale National Park

In the morning we will wake up early and have breakfast at the camp/lodge before joining researchers for a full-day Chimpanzee Habituation Activity in Kibale where you will be able to observe and follow the chimps leaving their overnight nests between 6:00 – 6:30am until it is time to build new nests around 7pm. We will then return to Kibale Forest camp or Ndali lodge for relaxation, dinner and our overnight stay.

Day 04: Tree Planting at Kibale Community

On this day, we will have our breakfast and then join a tree planting activity at a community tree planting project called Kibale Community, a stone throw away from Kibale National Park. We will spend the day learning about the trees and tree planting from the local experts and get involved in the work, planting our very own trees. We will return to the lodge/camp in the evening for relaxation, dinner and our overnight stay.

Day 05: Tree Planting at Kibale Community

In the morning, we will enjoy our breakfast then return for tree planting activities with local communities a stone throw away from Kibale National park. We will spend the whole day with the communities and enjoy our lunch together. In the afternoon, we will return to the lodge/camp for relaxation, dinner and our overnight stay.

Day 06: Nature Walk and Hot Spring Conservation Experience – Semuliki National Park

On this day, we will wake up early and have breakfast before moving to Semuliki National Park for a hot spring experience and nature walk. Here we will also be able to see abundant wildlife including baboons, red tailed Colubus monkeys, vervet monkeys, various bird species, butterflies and many more. We will have our lunch and then enjoy a cultural walking trail and experience before checking in for our relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Semuliki Safari lodge.

Day 07: Nature Walk and Game Drive – Semuliki National Park

On this day, we will have our breakfast then go morning game drive where we will be able to see abundant wildlife like the antelopes, impalas, Uganda kobs, bush duikers among others. We will return for lunch and afterwards go for nature walk before returning to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and our overnight stay.

Day 08: Tree planting activity with the Rwenzori Communities

On this day, we will have our breakfast then move for tree planting activity at a tree planting project with the Rwenzori community. We will spend the whole day with them and have our lunch together. We will then check in for relaxation, dinner and our overnight stay at Rwenzori community lodge.

Day 09: Tree planting activity with the Rwenzori Communities

On this day, we will have our breakfast then return for tree planting activities with the Rwenzori community. We will spend the whole day with them and even have our lunch together. We will then check in for relaxation, dinner and our overnight stay at Rwenzori community lodge.

Day 10:  Rwenzori Community – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After our morning breakfast, we will embark on an exciting drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park situated in the shadows of Mt. Rwenzori with several stops along the way for equator and landscape viewing, arriving at the park in the afternoon. We will have our lunch and then embark on a 2 hours thrilling launch trip along the Kazinga channel where we will see hundreds of hippos, buffalos, while elephants linger on the shoreline and spot over 60 bird species during the trip. We will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Jacana Lodge or Mweya Safari Lodge or Ihamba Safari Lodge.

Day 11: Wildlife Conservation Tour – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After our morning breakfast, we will begin our day with a game drive in the morning where we are likely to see early risers, predators, bush bucks, hyenas, elephants, bush pigs, lions, buffaloes and jackals and climbing lions. After the drive, we will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, we will embark on an exciting road drive through the Kigezi highlands and terraced hills of the Bakiga and Bafumbira people towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park. We will then check in for relaxation, have dinner and our overnight stay at Bwindi safari lodge or Buhoma safari lodge.

Day 12: Mountain Gorilla Tracking & Conservation Experience – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early morning breakfast and briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority guides, we will set off for our Mountain gorilla tracking experience within the forest sanctuary. The activity starts at 8:00am and we will be joined by other people according to the Gorilla family distribution (only 8 people are allowed to view each Gorilla family per day). Here we will need to carry with us packed lunch, drinking water, rain jackets and trekking boots. Walking sticks will also be provided if you are not sure of your fitness level. We will hire a porter to help carry the bag throughout the tracking experience because we cannot predict how long it will take for us to find the gorillas as they freely move in the forest. Our encounter with the gorillas will last for about one hour and it will be a rewarding and amazing experience. After gorilla trekking, we will return for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay at Bwindi Safari Lodge or Buhoma Safari Lodge.

Day 13: Cultural Experience and Canoe Trip with Communities

After a delicious breakfast, we will go for a community walk – visit the Batwa pygmies who will be ready for singing and dancing entertainment, showing their culture, local banana beer brewing and local fortune tellers. We will return for lunch, and then join the local community at Lake Bunyonyi for a canoe trip where we will view beautiful aquatic wildlife and eat fish before returning to the lodge for our relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 14: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Entebbe International Airport/Entebbe

On this day, we will wake up at leisure for our morning breakfast and then we embark on a scenic road trip to Kampala and Entebbe International airport with a stopover at Igongo Cultural centre for lunch, landscape, equator viewing and experience. We will arrive at Entebbe International Airport in the evening to catch up with your flight back home.
