One of the rhinos that was dehorned on a Worcester nature reserve has regained its sight.
Rangers had thought that poachers had left the animal blind.
The rhino was darted and had its horns hacked off a week ago.
The robbers had made off with the horns of a male and female rhino at the Fairy Glen Nature Reserve.
Owner Pieter De Jager said, “It means that he is still broken down so much that I cannot put him down with the M99, the drug which he was overdosed with by the attackers.”
More than 400 rhino have been killed so far this year.
