Luanda — The rehabilitation and conservation project of Iona nature reserve, in Namibe Province, will be launched on Wednesday, in Luanda, by the minister of Environment, Fátima Jardim.
The project will be launched under the visit to Angola of the mission of support to programmes and environment projects that will exchange synergies with the environment sector, with highlight on the climate and biodiversity changes.
Iona nature reserve has 15,150 square kilometres, in an area between the territories of Angola and Namibia.
The project will be implemented with the goal of strengthening the institutional capacity for the functioning and management of the nature reserve.
